About 4 inches above the cuff? Where I changed to a new skein of yarn? Don't tell me I'm imagining things or that it doesn't look as bad as I think. It doesn't show up very well in this photo. I could easily see it in my dimly lit guest room.
Immediately checked the ball bands. All the same dye lot. Checked the body/hood. No distinct line, but the top of the hood is definitely lighter than the body.
What should I do???!!!!

I see it. You could rip the whole sleeve and knit alternating rows using each ball, that's all I can think of. Or you can live with it.
How annoying! At this point, I might let it go. Or, if the top of the hood is lighter, you could make it a recurring motif--rip out the beginning of the other sleeve and substitute with the light yarn so that you have approximately equal bands of lighter yarn at the cuff of each sleeve?
Seems like more trouble than it's worth. I think it might warrant a stern e-mail to the maker of the yarn, though!
oh, sh*t. And of course it'd be at the BEGINNING of the sleeve. The hood, I bet you could get away with -- but the sleeve is noticeable.
If it were me....after much cursing....and if I had enough yarn....I'd frog & redo the sleeve.
Oh dear. Rip it or learn to love it. I guess those are the only real options. Sorry!
I see it... but only after you told me what to look for. Before you did I was focused on the cable, thinking that would have been the issue.
Absolutely no advice. I would definitely pout.
uh, sorry Laura. it does show up in the pic. i noticed immediately. shoot. of course that's the cast on *grrrr* yeah, you'd have to re-knit something...and definitely a stern e-mail, white photo proof!! that truly stinks. after all that hard work.
Awww, that sucks. I didn't notice at first, but you can see it in the picture. I don't know what I would do. If it bothers you, guess you'll have to rip and alternate rows. :(
Oh NO!!!! I can see it, I'm sorry. I think your going to have to rip back and alternate with the yarns.
Well poop! Yes, unfortunately it is noticeable. Despite the picky perfectionist that I usually am, I really think at this point I would probably live with it, but I would definitely send a picture to the yarn company, complain and see if they'll send you free yarn in commiseration. It's the least they can do. You've done a wonderful job! I can understand how upsetting this is!

Ugh. I would leave it, only because I'm lazy and hate to frog.
I'm sorry I don't have a better solution for you. :(
I would leave it and go knit something else for consolation...but then I'm not a perfectionist. I wonder how it happened....
