Ravelry!
The secret is out! Ravelry is here and open-ish for business. What is Ravelry? It's a knit and crochet community that's amazing. Thanks to S t a c i , I was privileged enough to be one of the early beta testers. I could go on an on about how wonderful the site is, but well, Rachel beat me to it. I told her about it, she joined (of course, she's copying me again), and now she's telling the world so that she looks way more cool than I am (perhaps because she is, but for now I can complain a little). Anyway, you can read Rachel's wonderful description of the site on her blog.
As for me, the only coolness that I can share is this:

See, I already knew about Ravelry because I'd received an invitation a few weeks ago. But I'm so busy and important that I don't have time to investigate every possible cool thing myself. So I have people like you do it. I sort of think of you as my coolness secretary.
For example, I want to know how you got your Firefox browser all pretty.
Haha, you even managed to post about it before Jess - she mentioned the project a while ago and I've sort of stalked her since then waiting to see when it would go live. I'm off to check it out!
I would love to join Ravelry (in fact, I have an intense, unrequited need to) but it looks like all I can do is add my e-mail to become a beta tester. What gives??

So, I don't know how to email the person above who was wondering about the beta tester email thing... so I am gonna respond here. We are still testing the website and Casey and I are the only two people doing all the work. We don't want the site to blow up, so we are trying to grow a bit slowly.
