Doily!

Doily

Pattern: Doily by a doily designer
Yarn: A doily-appropriate yarn. Seems to be 100% cotton. Dark Green
Needles: Doily-size needles. Something small. Maybe US 0 or 1.
Comments: Okay, you caught me. I didn’t knit this doily. Monkee did. When she finished it, she threw it at me. She said I could have it if I wove the ends, blocked it, and blogged about it. So here it is: ends woven and trimmed, blocked, and blogged.

Does the fact that I have a pink phone surprise anyone?

[Note: the following is a change in topic without any type of transition]

LOOKIE!!!

MorriganVest

(Can I tell you how tempted I am to do the neck edging, add edging around the armholes, and call it a vest?)

Yeah, but you're really going to love it with sleeves. It's pretty spectacular.

Nice doily - the perfect circle in the center really intrigues me.

Holy sh*t (sorry, I've been reduced to expletives!) Your Morrigan is incredible. Congrats on making it this far - huge accomplishment. I can't wait to see the rest :)

Beautiful doily too, even if you didn't make it!

Excellent progress on Morrigan! I see that you actually ARE calling it a vest on Flickr! (Are you really considering skipping the sleeves?)

Don't skip the sleeves. It won't fit right as a vest. It's going to be fabulous and worth the effort.

Did Monkee start that doily with a rigid ring in the center? Because otherwise, like Terby said, it's impossibly perfectly round.

Was your kitty already on the bookcase when you took the photo? Too adorable!!

The doily is pretty and of course I want your pink phone. Mine is institutional gray. Morrigan looks fabulous, but very time consuming. The sleeves should go faster though!

Oh my gosh, I love it. Both of it. The doily and your little sweater. Forgive me for asking again, but where's the pattern from? I would love to adapt it to a men's sweater.

Shoot, I'd totally be behind making that a vest. It's adorable! Of course, it'd be an adorable sweater as well, so therein lies the problem.

Your cat is gorgeous. :)

Lovely vest, but I think it will look better as a sweater. ;)

The cables make is so beautiful, it would look good as anything.

Morrigan is looking beautiful! No matter how tempted you are to stop now, don't do it. You must finish all it's cabley goodness.

And Morri-vest needs a collar!

WOW! Your Morrigan grows so quickly! You are flying through the pattern now, you go girl! More than half done! Your sleeves will be finished in no time!
I love the doily - any chance that the design will be converted to a pattern some day? I would love to give it a try ;o)

Dear Anonymous,

The doily design is a pattern. I just don't happen to know what pattern because I didn't knit it.

Lucky you. Not many people have a designated phone doily.

I have to say it's kind of fun to be able to look at photos on your blog and know where they are in your house. Really scratches my stalker itch.
