Have you seen these?
The pattern is from Sweaterscapes. I really want these socks. But it's a combination of two knitting things that I don't like: socks and intarsia (I think. It could be stranded, but that doesn't improve things that much.)
I want them so much that I'm tempted to say that I'll buy the pattern and the yarn if someone else would knit them for me. Tempted. Very tempted.

call me craaaazy but I love colour work, and I don't mind socks. yeah.

i love that website. i think there is a more foresty-type sweater I like the looks of.
hmmmm. pondering....
I'll knit one for you and then you can knit the other one.... :)
The Mountains, The Mountains we greet them with a song,
Whose echos rebounding the woodland heights along....
I'll knit them for you -- and sing while I do it. I'm all about purple (I'll forget the gold). The way you are about pink.
I love socks == And wearing handknit socks ensures Happy Feet.
And at my reunion last year it was so cold I really needed them.

wow, I love those socks! they have *mountains,* my favorite thing!! I can't knit them for you (well, I probably can, but you wouldn't want what I turned out) but I'm sorely tempted to buy the pattern for my "some day" list. Thanks for posting!
Those are so cool!
Yep! Those are some pretty cool socks. Too bad the thought of knitting intarsia hasn't even crossed my mine otherwise I'd be knitting them right now.
Beautiful socks! I hope you find someone who will make them for you!
You could turn 'em into mittens?
(Because, y'know, you need lots of mittens where you live.)
They are really cool, tho'...
Pretty! But not in a million years.
If you do find a sucker to make them for you, please forward his or her contact information.
Love the mountains! But even my love for the mountains isn't enough for me to be brave the intarsia. ;)
